The Jackson 5 Discography -
Never Can Say Goodbye...

As the Jackson 5 discography demonstrates, those clean-cut, cartoon-worthy cuties proved more enduring than serious soul snobs expected!

Berry Gordy's crack composing team cranked out hits as furiously as the Jacksons performed them on stage. Fresh and catchy (and catching), these Motown songs captivated millions with incredible speed.

He of the killer cords, 11-year-old Michael Jackson, puts surprisingly assured spins on ballads and soul covers, baring the vocal gifts beneath the bopping.

When 80% of the 5 split from Motown, the now-unnumbered and artistically unencumbered Jacksons produced appealing dance ditties, love songs, and funk pieces of their own.

This Jackson 5 discography includes most group and solo albums up until the siblings' 1989 mega-reunion. I've extended the list that far to show the long-term power of this Motown-molded phenomenon.

(Note from Ann: Since Motown trademarked "Jackson 5" with the numeral, I've chosen to use that name throughout this site. That's why outside their bio, I don't refer to, say, "the Jackson Five discography," though other sites might. Just FYI, with some trivia rolled in. :))
